Firstly, I’d like to wish everyone a joyful holiday season and a prosperous New Year to all. I know this time of year can feel especially difficult: whether it’s the pressure to wrap things up, the emotional weight of reflection, or simply the exhaustion that comes with a busy December. However you’re arriving at this moment, I hope you find a little space for rest, kindness, and whatever brings you comfort as we step into a new year.

As the year draws to a close, it is an opportune moment to reflect on a busy period filled with insightful discussions and diverse topics. Looking to the new year, I’m planning for richer content in the coming year, covering a range of subjects that I hope will engage and inform.

Highlights of 2025: Key Topics and Insights Gained

This year, I’ve dived into several topics on the publishing process, explored some of my favourite recipes, and analysed how inspiration can strike at any moment. Each one gave ME valuable insights into the process that developed my understanding (and recollection) of the process.

These discussions not only reflected my existing processes but also helped me understand, and anticipate, future challenges and opportunities. By revisiting these themes, I can appreciate the progress I’ve made and identify a way forward in some area.

Planning for 2026 and beyond: What’s on the Horizon

Topics ranging from different printing methods (and costs), publishing production and launch checklists, marketing and publicity to author platforms and social media (which can be daunting and dreadful at times!). I also want to revisit advancements in artificial intelligence and the ethical implications, sustainability efforts amongst evolving environmental policies.

I’m also eager to release a couple of books next year. As I mentioned in late September, I worked out and updated my own launch playbook to incorporate the book drafts I have in my schedule while still publishing blog topics.

I hope these subjects generate insightful discussions and contribute to ongoing conversations. Thorough planning and research will still go into the upcoming articles to provide both depth and clarity. I look forward to engaging with these themes and sharing thoughtful analyses throughout the new year.

Setting Goals for the Upcoming Year: Strategies for Content Creation

Blurry lights on a purple baclgroundIn the new year, I’ll be reviewing my launch playbook again to make sure that my goals and timeline for content creation are still clear and achievable. Effective planning begins with reflecting on past achievements and identifying areas for growth.

I want to prioritise topics that resonate while investigating innovative new ones. Having a structured editorial calendar will help me to make sure I’m consistent and deliver content regularly. (I know I’m a bit late with this blog; the run-up to Christmas has been hectic!)

Also, I want to listen to what you want to read to help me decide what to write! By doing this, I can navigate the digital landscape with a clear head, and hopefully connect more meaningfully with readers next year.

Gratitude for You

I want to thank, and extend my sincere gratitude to, everyone who’s read here and engaged with me on social media. Your support has been invaluable. Your friendship and insights have very much improved this year for me.

I look forward to chatting with you in the upcoming year, with renewed enthusiasm. Thank you for being an integral part of my journey this year.

At the End of the Day

But as I look ahead, the promise of a new year brings with it fresh opportunities to explore diverse subjects and issues in publishing.

As I mentioned, I’m working on my plans to stretch the topics and scope of the Book Studio. I want to incorporate timely themes and insightful analysis that reflect both current trends and enduring interests.

I hope to continue encouraging thoughtful and inclusive conversations that resonate for writers and readers. Together, let us embrace the coming year with optimism and dedication, ready to take on new ideas and perspectives that challenge and inspire.

As this year comes to a close, I’m reminded of how much growth, curiosity, and connection can unfold in just twelve months. Revisiting the ideas, challenges, and creative sparks that shaped my work has strengthened my resolve to continue exploring, questioning, and building with intention.

Final Thoughts

I’m deeply grateful for everyone who has read, shared, or joined the conversation.

Connecting with everyone genuinely improves this journey. As we step into a new year filled with possibility, I’m excited to continue expanding the scope of the Book Studio, diving into new topics, and offering thoughtful, well‑crafted insights that support writers, readers, and fellow creatives. Here’s to fresh beginnings, renewed enthusiasm, and the stories still waiting to be told.

Wishing everyone a joyful Hanukkah, a Merry Christmas, and a prosperous New Year.
